A LEGO model of Icam Lille?
When passion and creativity meet, the result is a unique work of art, born of patience, precision... and 20,439 bricks!
Over the past few months, you may have seen the first photos of an incredible LEGO model of the Icam Lille site. This project, imagined and realized by Côme Gilloury (129 Lille), has captured the attention of many members of the Icam community. And with good reason: after more than 120 hours of painstaking work, the model is now finalized in digital form... and just needs a little help to see the light of day "in real life"!
A model with impressive figures
-
20,439 parts
-
16 kg
-
1.26 m long
-
1.18 m wide
-
24 cm high
Suffice it to say that this project is no mere after-hours construction! Côme has passionately modeled every detail using specialized software, and his work is truly admirable.
An idea turned collective project
Given the enthusiasm generated by his first publications, Côme decided - in conjunction with the management of the Lille site - to turn this model into a collective work. The aim: to finance the purchase of the LEGO parts needed for the actual construction, and to exhibit the model at Icam Lille, so that everyone can admire it and recognize themselves in it.
"We think it's interesting that everyone should be able to participate in its financing, and thus make a piece of this model their own!"
Take part in this great initiative
A fund has been set up for everyone to take part: LEGO enthusiasts, nostalgic alumni, curious students or members of staff, every donation is a step towards making this unique model a reality.
And of course, don't hesitate to share it with others: the project just needs to grow, brick by brick.
