Doing without technology

Far from Silicon Valley, the temple of new technologies, another way of designing and using them is developing. In Concarneau (Finistère), the Low-tech Lab researches and develops simple, sustainable know-how to reinvent our lifestyles. Drawing on his experiences around the globe and his engineering studies at the Institut Catholique d'Arts et Métiers (Icam) in Nantes, Low-tech Lab co-founder Corentin de Chatelperron (106 Nantes) is keen to pass on these "low-tech" solutions to as many people as possible. His aim is to enable everyone to meet their own needs independently and inexpensively. All you need to do is consult the many tutorials on the association's website. Solar oven, Norwegian pot, ceramic water filter... Or how to do better with less.
