Jean-Marie was a friend with a big heart, full of generosity, intelligence and concern for others.

He was modest, hard-working and a team player.

When Jean-Marie retired, he came to the Association des Ingénieurs Icam to see if he could be of service to the Association.

Pierre Idrac (68 Lille), then President of the Association, and André Satin (58 Lille) suggested he join the editorial staff of the Icam Liaisons magazine, which he immediately accepted. At the time,Icam Liaisons was edited by Dominique Lamarque (64 Lille), who was at the helm with Marie-Christine Bidault.

After a period of observation, in the December 2014 issue, Jean-Marie finally agreed to have her name officially listed on the Editorial Board.

His work on the Icam Liaisons committee was remarkable. He was a master of analysis and synthesis, and always had a positive eye for finding the right solutions to problems. He sought to get alumni to talk in depth about their experiences and values.

Later, other Icam alumni joined the editorial team, and the magazine remains a highlight in the life of the Association.
