Professor of Materials Science
Grenoble-INP
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique with a doctorate in materials physics, Yves Bréchet is a professor of materials science at Grenoble-INP and an associate professor at McMaster (Canada) and Jiaotong (China). Previously an industry consultant and member of the French National Commission for Nuclear Waste, he was appointed High Commissioner for Atomic Energy in 2012. In this role, he has often warned about the future of this "flagship" of French industry, a victim of the decline of the strategic State.
